ベレー帽というのは、てっぺんの紐をつまんで頭に乗せられるようになってる、
手の汚れる仕事をするフランスの労働者階級が被るものだった。

それを、絵具で手の汚れる画家たちが愛用するようになって、文化人の象徴みたいになった。
手塚先生も、漫画家の地位向上のために、文化人というのをアピールするためベレーを被っていた。
